A lean, tall man, some what dishevelled, unshaven, even scrawny in appearance. Caltrop is a street preacher, an outcast of the established Church of Holy Law who has undertaken to bring the message of Divine Equilibrium to the poor. He has obviously led a hard life and his appearance makes it difficult to judge his age. He appears to be some where in his late 50’s. He wears dark, thread-bare ecclesiastical garments and around his neck hangs a pendant of the Eternal Serpent. Much respected and admired by the poor for his tireless charity and hardwork on their behalf, he is widely regarded with some distaste, even scorn by the artists and intellectuals of the Armorial Quarter. Due to his tutoring young boys in his chambers, many assume he is a paedarast.
